The ComEd Energy Efficiency Service Provider (EESP) Incubator Program

Program Eligibility

To be eligible, you must meet the following requirements:

  1. Be a service provider in business for at least 2 years, ideally performing one or more of the following trades:
    1. Compressed Air
    2. Electrical
    3. General Contracting
    4. HVAC
    5. Refrigeration
    6. Weatherization
  2. Eligible to do business in the state of Illinois: You will be asked to upload your Certificate of Good Standing
  3. Insured: You will be asked to upload your Certificate(s) of Insurance
  4. Ability to commit to attending all training webinars and scheduling regular one-on-one check-in sessions.
  5. Ability to commit to renewing or obtaining for the first time an Illinois Commerce Commission Certification for Energy Efficiency Installers.

Incubator Program Timeline

The first portion of the program will consist of mandatory webinars. They will begin in late spring and will be held weekly. The sessions are designed to prepare participants to be successful as ComEd Energy Efficiency Service Providers. Webinar dates and topics can be found below (subject to change):

Participants will also meet with a member of the program team for weekly one-on-one check-ins to assist with program deliverables and to address any barriers. Participants will also have the opportunity to be matched with a peer mentor for one-on-one support.

Upon program completion, a graduation ceremony will be held to celebrate the accomplishments of program participants.

After graduation, cohort members will continue meeting one-on-one with the program team for support completing any remaining deliverables, communicating with ICs, and any other needs for a successful transition to participating in the ComEd Energy Efficiency Program.
