The ComEd Energy Efficiency Service Provider (EESP) Incubator Program
Program Eligibility
To be eligible, you must meet the following requirements:

Be a contractor in business for at least 2 years performing one of the following trades:
- Electrical/Lighting
- HVAC
- Engineering/Design
- General Contracting
- Weatherization
- Eligible to do business in the state of Illinois: You will be asked to upload your Certificate of Good Standing
- Insured: You will be asked to upload your Certificate(s) of Insurance
- Ability to commit to attending all training webinars and scheduling regular one-on-one check-in sessions.
- Ability to commit to renewing or obtaining for the first time an Illinois Commerce Commission Certification.
Incubator Program Timeline
The first portion of the program year will consist of 9 mandatory webinars on Monday afternoons from 3pm to 5pm. These sessions are designed to prepare participants to be successful as ComEd Energy Efficiency Service Providers. The webinar topics are outlined below:

Starting in May, participants will also meet with a member of the program team for weekly one-on-one check-ins.
Upon completion of the above webinars, program participants will be invited to join self-paced two-week learning modules focused on back-office support topics such as budgeting, financial tools, building a web presence, and becoming a CEO. A Completion Ceremony will be held in September 2023 to celebrate the academic accomplishments of the 2023 cohort to date, including the completion of all training modules.
From July to December 2023, cohort members will continue meeting one-on-one with the program team for support with submitting ComEd EESP Network applications, communicate with ICs, and complete their Business Growth Plans. Participants will also be matched with a peer mentor for one-on-one support.
